I Love Penguins!

Penguins feed mainly on fish, squid and small shrimp-like krill. They dive deep underwater, using their feet as rudders, and come to the surface regularly to breathe. Gentoo penguins can swim at up to 27 kph. Rockhopper penguins have long yellow or orange feathers above their eyes. They often  nest on cliff-tops, using pebbles or grass. They reach their colony by hopping  from rock to rock, as their name suggests.

Hello Blog World!

This is my very first blog and I am so excited because I am 7 years old and so I hope you enjoy the stories I am about to write.  I like animals and I am going to write about them as well.

Today I am going to write about Green Turtles.

Green Turtles spend most of their time at sea , only coming on land to sleep and to lay eggs. At nesting time they travel hundreds or even thousands of kilometres to lay eggs on the beach where they were born. If I saw a Green Turtle I would go and have a swim with it but I would tell my Mum or Dad to come in with me because there will might be big crabs if we were in the ocean. I would love to see baby Green Turtles and I would take care of them for protection.
